near Lake Granby, Colorado... Monarch Lake Loop
is an amazing winter getaway. Although the total
round trip distance is 5.64 miles, its gentle
inclines make an ideal journey for a wide variety
of fitness levels. This
round trip trek offers great open scenery
and a fun |

thru
the
trees. The entire trip is spent in the valley
but it does not take away from the great views
in the open canopy. This is the perfect trip
for families and large gatherings of friends.
Please be mindful of the snow
and the angles of the surrounding
slopes. Some of the surrounding slopes are steep...
and so there is potential for AVALANCHE.

Trail
Description:
The
trail starts out as a paved road that goes from
the Parking Lot to the Info. Station at Monarch
Lake. From there, you can pick up the Monarch
Lake Loop. This trail is relatively level and
wraps around the lake with a large sweep into
the trees and away from Lake on the eastern
side of the Loop. For
